Pacific WildLife Foundation 

The Pacific Wildlife Foundation is a non-profit multi-disciplinary professional research and education society that inspires an appreciation for objective scientific research and conservation of the ocean. Established in 1981 as West Coast Whale Research Foundation, the original members conducted pioneering research on cetaceans. In 2003 and under a new name, the Foundation launched ambitious research and education programs to restore and learn more about many marine organisms. Bird Studies Canada

Bird Studies Canada is a national not-for-profit organization built on the enthusiastic contributions of thousands of volunteer citizen scientists. Data from their volunteer surveys and targeted research projects are used to identify significant population changes and help direct conservation planning. Bird Studies Canada is one of seven partners in the BC Breeding Bird Atlas project. Headquarters are in Port Rowan, Ontario. Rob is their BC Programs Scientist. Website: www.bsc-eoc.org

The Nature Trust of British Columbia

The Nature Trust of British Columbia is a leading land conservation organization headquartered in British Columbia  since 1971. With partners, The Nature Trust has acquired more than 61,000 hectares of biologically significant worth more than $85 million. Rod is a Director of TNT.

The Explorers Club

The Explorers Club is an international multidisciplinary professional society dedicated to the advancement of field research and the ideal that it is vital to preserve the instinct to explore. Since its inception in 1904, the Club has served as a meeting point and unifying force for explorers and scientists worldwide. The headquarters are located in New York City. Copper River International Migratory Bird Initiative

The Copper River International Migratory Bird Initiative is a partnership between the US Forest Service, who is responsible for management of the Copper River delta in Alaska, and organizations across the Americas. Rob sits on the CRIMBI board.  

American Ornithologists Union

Founded in 1883, the American Ornithologists' Union is the oldest and largest organization in the New World devoted to the scientific study of birds. Although the AOU primarily is a professional organization, its membership of about 4,000 includes many amateurs dedicated to the advancement of ornithological science. Rob is a Fellow. Since 1974, Bluewater has pioneered quality wilderness and wildlife eco-adventures. Tours raise the profile of wildlife cruising in British Columbia and Alaska and the company continues to build on its eco-initiatives. Rob has been a naturalist with Bluewater Adventures since 1990. Young Naturalists Club of British Columbia

The Young Naturalists of British Columbia is not-for-profit organization established in 2000 and based in Vancouver. Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network

The Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network is a not-for-profit organization based in the USA that designates and encourages conservation of key and shorebird habitats in the Americas. Rob has served on the Scientific Advisory Committee for nearly two decades.

IUCN Heron Specialist Group

The International Union for the Conservation of Nature established specialist groups to advise on conservation issues around the world. Rob is a member of the Heron Specialist Group.
